CTC upgrades

The Firing Line team wants to provide you, the sporting clays shooter, the best that the CTC could offer.  To that end, the Firing Line team has put in quite a few hours over the 2023 summer months cleaning up and improving the Ben Avery Clay Target Center's Quail and Roadrunner courses.  The stands have been remodeled and raked clean, allowing ejected hulls to be easily picked up without climbing over rocks and under bushes.   Stands were made uniform whenever possible, putting benches, trash cans and gun racks in set positions.  Bushes near the stands and pathways have had dead branches and weeds removed to give a cleaner look and eliminate many of the potential hiding spots for rattlesnakes, providing greater shooter safety and peace of mind.  Branches, rocks, dead grass and weeds have been cleaned up around the courses for your shooting pleasure and to provide an overall enjoyable experience.  Please have a look at the photos of the upgraded Quail and Roadrunner stands below.  

Update:  We've also completed work on all 15 stands of the Coyote course over the 2023 fall and winter months and hope you enjoy shooting them!   We're hopeful that the Ben Avery staff will continue to maintain and improve the all courses for the benefit of all our shooters.
